US economy shrinks in Q2 2022
New decline in US economy |
The US economy recorded a new contraction for the second consecutive quarter during the current year 2022, to record "GDP", a contraction of 0.6%, as expected, after a contraction in the first quarter of 2022 to 1.6%.
As a result of the foregoing, the American economy has entered a technical stagnation stage after contracting for two consecutive quarters, and this contraction came in light of the crisis of the "inflation rate" that significantly exceeds the target, in addition to several attempts by the US Federal Reserve to curb this inflation by raising the "inflation rate" Benefit".
The Fed raised interest rates by 75 basis points again this year, to reach a range between 3.00 and 3.25%, as was widely expected, and the expectations of the US Federal Reserve show that the interest rate will rise to 4.6% next year and that it is not possible to cut interest until next year. 2024.
